Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was definitely relaxing, which isn't something we do very well. Friday, we opened up our first item for our nursery...an ottoman to go with our rocker. Since I'm the only child, my mom is very excited about becoming a grandmother. She's actually been stockpiling things for about three years, which is kinda cute. She was very eager to get started on our checking things off our registry. We are so lucky to have her, and I know she is going to spoil are little boy like crazy. Saturday we ran some errands in the morning and then just spent some time together watching movies and talking, and Sunday we went to church, I meal prepped for the week, and then we went to youth group where we talked to kids about some of the differences in the major world religions. We love working with high schoolers. They are so willing and open to ask the hard questions. I think that's why Jesus chose disciples that were teenagers (except for Peter...we know this from Scripture where Jesus has to pay temple taxes, and he only pays for himself and Peter. The only reason to not have had to pay a temple tax is if your under the age of 20). Jesus knew that young people could change the world more than anyone else, and we feel so blessed to be able to form relationships and come alongside these great kids!
I wore this outfit to church and then changed into more casual jeans and a T-shirt for group. I love maxi dresses...so comfy and you look super put together. Even though I've only been blogging for a few weeks, I've noticed I wear a lot of Aztec prints, stripes, and purples and greens. I don't know if it's just because my closet is limited right now, but hopefully I can switch it up a bit more in the future!
Here's to a great week! Below you can find some other pretty awesome maxi dresses. Just click on any for more information! All are budget friendly!
