So this weekend, I had grand plans of taking about 20 IRL photos of me in outfits, since I am really getting to the point where my fitting into my clothes is just a flip of the coin. But, this weekend was not so much fun pregnancy wise. I have felt incredibly lucky these first 5 months- no morning sickness whatsoever or any other symptom that was uncomfortable until this past week. I won't go into too much detail, but since this blog is also a way for me to document my pregnancy and to see my change...let's just say I have had some trouble processing food. (Proceed to next paragraph if you really don't want to read about this) I weigh myself each week, just to make sure I am gaining weight at a healthy pace (about 1 lb per week) and by last night I had gained 5 pounds over 4 days, after my weigh in at the doctor. Obviously there was a food baby stuck inside me. I don't think I've ever been so uncomfortable. I am pretty predictable and had been off schedule for almost a week. With trying almost everything, hopefully things will get back on track. (On a side note, I accidentally bought a suppository without knowing what a suppository was. Sorry, but no thanks to that and it was almost to the point where that was pretty much my last option besides a full on enema and that's DEFINITELY not happening). Oh well, hopefully things are back to normal now.
So, all in all, not a very glamorous weekend, or one where I wanted to get dressed at all, let alone put together different outfits. Today, I decided to channel a little Kate Spade to glamor up my Monday a little. I remember the first time I ever went into a Kate Spade store when I was 12 in NYC. Totally mesmerized by all the colors and patters. I've been a fan ever since. If we were going to have a little girl, it was definitely going to be a black, white, gold, and pink nursery. This is look is pretty easy pattern mixing--same color scheme, different pattern...both fairly subtle prints, with some fun details in the accessories. This would be super easy to change the shorts to a skirt and the shoes to wedges and be ready for work! Below are some other great Kate Spade finds for under $150.
Enjoy your Monday!!!
